Default Diserable areas around Chicago -

I recently got hired at a news agency in Chicago, but do not want to live in Chicago. I was checking out Lake Forest, but I am not quite sure. What are the areas that I definitely do not want to move to?

Default Hard to go Wrong in North Shore -

You mentioned Lake Forest which is the northernmost suburb of Chicago's renowned North Shore. It's hard to go wrong in the North Shore, if you can afford it. It's the priciest area of Chicago's suburbs and considered very desirable. However, even the North Shore suburbs have areas within them considered less desireable.

You might consider Highland Park, just south of Lake Forest. As a Realtor, I've helped several clients buy homes there. It's closer to Chicago and has 5 commuter train stations, so it's hard to be too far away from one of them. It has a great downtown and Ravinia Festival which people from all over the Chicago area flock to during the concert season.

For more information on Chicago's suburbs, visit my blog, ChicagoMetroAreaRealEstate.com. Email or call me, if you have additional questions.
